Bringing queer sports to the heart of america.
Stonewall Sports took its name from the Stonewall riots of 1969. While our world has changed in many ways—we still fight the same battles for fairness, visibility, and safety in Kansas City.
They threw bricks, we throw pitches. They took to the streets, we take to the fields.
We honor their sacrifices, and continue the struggle for liberation, by offering queer people a place to find community across all identities. While fun is central to our mission, we know our role goes far beyond recreational sports. We touch thousands of lives and serve incredibly vulnerable communities. They depend on us, they look up to us, and we strive to do right by them.
Our BOARD
Stonewall KC is a chapter of the national Stonewall Sports, Inc. organization. We’re an all-volunteer board contributing our time and talents to building a safe, inclusive community. Depending on the role, positions are either community-elected or appointed.

KEIL YOUNG
City Commissioner
Keil (she/her) hails from Denver, Colorado, but she’s been calling KC home for the past five years. After years crushing it in food industry sales, she’s now channeling her skills into the world of pet food ingredients—making her a go-to for all things logistics and a favorite of fur babies everywhere.
Raised in Colorful Colorado, Keil has a deep love for the great outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing—if it’s outside, she’s in! Need an adventure buddy? Look no further.
When she’s not soaking up the sunshine, Keil loves cooking up something delicious, strumming her guitar, and plotting her next getaway—most likely with a perfect cup of coffee in hand.

Nathan Olson
Treasurer
Nathan (he/him) may be a Minnesota native, but his journey brought him to KC from San Francisco, and he’s ready to dive into the local vibe! As a people ops professional, he’s all about fostering inclusive, engaging environments that bring people together.
Outside of the office, Nathan keeps life moving—literally—as a dedicated runner. He also loves traveling with his partner, exploring new restaurants, whipping up something sweet in the kitchen, and diving into board or video games for a little friendly competition.
Nathan’s no stranger to the Stonewall community, having started a kickball team with the DC chapter and serving as captain for several seasons. Now, he’s pumped to bring that same energy to KC, ready to build connections and make an impact!

Skye Vochatzer
Director of Operations
Skye (they/them) is KC born and raised, and they’re currently loving life in the city proper with their partner. By day, they’re a Pharmacy Administration Services Analyst, crunching numbers and keeping things running smoothly.
When the workday ends, Skye keeps the rhythm going—literally—with their percussion skills, or they’re diving into a good streaming binge. They’re passionate about human rights and stay active in the fight for equality.
In their downtime, you’ll find them soaking up time with their partner, their amazing circle of friends, and their three adorable cats—because what’s life without a little fur family?
-
Maddie Reddick
Director of DEI & Community
Maddie (they/them) was born in Illinois but grew up as an Army brat, constantly on the move. While no single place feels like home, Maddie has found that people are what truly make a place feel like belonging. Their ever-changing childhood taught them the art of making friends fast—or risking being left out—and now they’re all about creating intentional, inclusive spaces wherever they go.
By day, Maddie works in sexual violence prevention, pouring their heart into educating, organizing, and advocating for their community. By night (and any spare moment), they’re a proud cat parent to the stunning 15-year-old Shadow, a coffee aficionado who loves a good chat about the perfect brew, and an all-around creative soul who mends clothing and is passionate about music—listening, seeing, and playing it all.
Maddie also stays active with Stonewall Sports, weight training, and practicing Kempo. Oh, and they’re gearing up to start their MSW program in early 2025—because advocating for others is more than a passion; it’s their purpose!

Anh (he/him) has lived all over Kansas and Missouri, but after some time in school, he’s found his home in Kansas City, MO. He’s currently working in higher education while also volunteering with a local nonprofit, all while bringing his marketing expertise to the table. Helping others is at the heart of everything Anh does, and he’s put in the work to make it happen.
When he’s not making a difference, you’ll find Anh hanging out with friends, staying active with workouts, tennis, and pickleball, or indulging in some seriously good food. He’s also a fan of travel and loves spending time in the garden—because what’s better than fresh air, good company, and a little self-care?
-
Kayly Zimmer
Events Director
Kayly (she/her) has called Kansas City home for the last six years, after making the leap from Michigan. With 17 years of experience in hospitality, she bartends on the side, bringing her knowledge and energy to every event she helps craft.
When she’s not working, you’ll catch Kayly playing sports, soaking up an audiobook, hanging with friends, traveling, or hunting down the best gluten-free eats in town.
Joining Stonewall has been an amazing chance for Kayly to blend her love for sports with her event planning skills. She’s excited to help create unforgettable experiences and connect with new faces through all the fun we’ve got ahead. Can’t wait to make memories together!
-
Travis Davis-Johnson
National Tournament Director
Travis (he/him) is KC through and through—born and raised right here in the heartland. Though he’s spent time in other cities, he couldn’t resist the pull of home and made his way back to Kansas City.
For 22 years, Travis has proudly served in the Army Reserves, and when he’s not "playing Army," he’s working in human resources, helping people thrive in their careers. Outside of work, he’s all about quality time with his hubby and friends.
Travis is also a total sports enthusiast—you can catch him serving it up on the pickleball court, kicking it in kickball, spiking in volleyball, swinging for the fences in softball, or showing off his skills at the billiards table. Basically, if it’s fun and active, Travis is in!

Blane is KC born and raised, with a lifelong love for sports, community, and—let’s be real—dogs (he’s got four of them, so you know he’s serious). With a background in account management and deep roots in KC’s LGBTQIA+ scene—shoutout to Woody’s and Bistro 303—Blane is bringing his skills, energy, and network to Stonewall Sports KC. His goal? To help our community grow, thrive, and have a damn good time doing it.
-
Creighton Olsen
Sports Director: Billiards
Creighton (he/him) might look like a blank template from a video game's character creation screen, but we promise he's much more real than an empty Mii. With his broad professional background in executive coaching and extensive experience in esports tournament and league management, he's the perfect fit to take our Billiards League to the next level. If he's not down at the Belfry running a league game, he's probably reading boring non-fiction books about The Middle Ages, playing a complicated board game, or practicing his drums (he's....not great yet).
-
Chelsea Nowaczyk
Sports Director: Kickball
Chelsea (she/her) grew up as an Army kid, constantly on the move, and now proudly calls Kansas City home after seven years. Her nomadic upbringing shaped her into the ultimate social butterfly—seriously, she’s never met a stranger!By day, Chelsea channels her compassion as a social worker at a local nonprofit, supporting vulnerable communities in Midtown with the expertise of a master’s degree in mental health and trauma. By night (and weekend), you’ll likely spot her strolling Hyde Park with her lovable Husky, Beau—who’s probably trying to charm you into belly rubs at the fields—honing her dart-throwing skills, or diving into her latest hobby-of-the-moment.
She’s all about live music, coffee shop hangs, and exploring KC’s craft beer scene—so if you’re up for good vibes and great conversations, Chelsea’s your person!
-
David Ta
Sports Director: Pickleball
David (he/him) was raised in Missouri and Kansas, and has called Kansas City home since 2012. By day, he’s the Director of IT for a nonprofit education initiative that’s all about making post-secondary education accessible to underserved communities around the globe.
When he’s not changing the world, David’s diving into video games, geeking out over technology, or tackling DIY projects around the house with his husband, Brandon. A true fan of team sports, David’s always up for a game and brings that same energy to local leagues—especially when pickleball’s on the line!
David’s also a huge traveler and cooking aficionado, always exploring new places and flavors. And when he’s at home, he’s loving life with his Shiba Inu, Tsuki, in the mix for all the cuddles and playtime.

-
Ian Gramenz

Now, Kansas City has been home for six years, and she’s settled in with her two cats—one with a missing eye, which only adds to her delightfully witchy vibes. When she’s not hunched over a computer working on the next Great American Novel, you can find her at the local movie theater, dissecting the latest films with her wife, or diving down a rabbit hole of late-night Wikipedia reads.
-
Marlon Argueta
Sports Director: Volleyball
Marlon (he/him) was born in Seattle and raised in Nicaragua. He brought his global perspective to the U.S. in 2018 and made the move to Kansas in 2023 for work. Now, he’s thriving as a Project Manager at a biotech company specializing in culture media manufacturing. With a chemical engineering background and a slow-but-steady pursuit of a master’s in data science, Marlon is all about blending expertise and curiosity.
When he’s not leading projects or hitting the books, you’ll find Marlon spiking and scoring in local volleyball and kickball leagues, soaking up the energy of the vibrant KC community. Off the court, he’s hanging out with his two corgis, who have no doubt they’re in charge (and Marlon isn’t about to argue).
While Kansas City is his home for now, Marlon is all about making the most of his 2–3 years here before setting off on his next big adventure. Until then, he’s savoring every moment and connection KC has to offer!
